The United States Sports Academy 2003 Athlete of the Year
In the Men's Division, MICHAEL PHELPS was the winner. Phelps was named Swimmer of the Meet at the World Championships in 2003, after winning six medals, including four golds and breaking five world records. Phelps became first person to ever break five world records in one meet. He won three U.S. National titles, becoming the first man in history to win three different strokes at one national championship.
